Bed & Breakfast accommodation on a working Hebridean croft
If you are looking to get away from the busy-ness of life, immerse yourself in nature, experience sustainable living in comfort then come and stay with us in Uig on the Isle of Lewis!
SEAcroft is our family croft and we are Sarah, Elliot and Andrew
– hence the name! We established the croft in 2009 and have been gradually building up our self sufficiency since.
We create meat products made from our home-reared pork, beef,
lamb, chicken, duck and goose. We currently have 4 highland cattle, over 100 sheep, approximately 40 chickens and ducks, 7 geese and 2 dogs. Our vegetable plots provide vegetables and salads for us throughout the summer and autumn. Our ducks, hens and geese provide us with a variety of eggs. We bake our own bread; make our own jams, jellies and chutneys. We cut peat to fuel the Rayburn for our cooking, heating and water as well as using our biomass boiler. The only group of food products we don’t create ourselves is dairy - but we do make great ice creams!
We can offer you a taste of Hebridean life - next to the crashing waves and the rawness of nature, whilst sampling her produce and relaxing in comfort.
